Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our West Virginia team. The role focuses on toxic tort (asbestos), product liability, and workers' compensation matters, offering ownership of a meaningful caseload and collaboration with experienced litigators.

Based in West Virginia, you may work remotely or in a hybrid capacity, with opportunities for mentorship from seasoned trial attorneys and exposure to sophisticated litigation across a national practice.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in West Virginia.
• At least 1 year of civil litigation experience.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Experience conducting legal research and handling depositions.
• Prior toxic tort, asbestos, product liability, or workers' compensation experience preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Self-motivated professional who takes ownership of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned litigation matters with partner oversight.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
• Take and defend depositions.

This position focuses on toxic tort (asbestos), product liability, and workers' compensation matters and offers the opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful caseload while collaborating with a team of highly experienced litigators.

Whether you're based in Charleston, Morgantown, Wheeling, or elsewhere in West Virginia, we offer the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
