Associate Attorney – Foreclosure (Florida)

Our client, a well‑established and reputable law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its expanding Foreclosure practice in the Orlando area. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated legal professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment and is looking to advance their career with a respected firm. The selected attorney will work closely with the firm’s existing legal team, support staff, and colleagues across multiple office locations.

Position Summary

The Associate Attorney will manage an independent and diverse caseload while also assisting senior attorneys with complex matters. The ideal candidate is an active member in good standing with the Florida State Bar, brings 3+ years of experience in foreclosure, title, and/or financial services, and possesses strong litigation, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed review of Florida default‑related documentation to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal law.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Evaluate case files, issue legal opinions, and resolve file-level challenges.
  • Review loan documents and title reports; identify and provide recommendations for curing title issues.
  • Cure a range of title issues through litigation or alternative resolution strategies.
  • Prepare and edit reports, correspondence, and legal memoranda.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to clients regarding file‑specific legal matters.
  • Manage an independent caseload and monitor deadlines, court dockets, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys, operational teams, and administrative staff across departments.
  • Represent clients at virtual and in‑person hearings as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in adversarial or high‑pressure situations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Other duties may be assigned in support of the firm’s ongoing needs.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in foreclosure, title, and/or financial services law.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to foreclosure and real estate.
  • Ability to analyze case law and provide strategic recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of legal files.
  • Familiarity with Florida court systems and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Professional communication skills with clients, vendors, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet-based legal research.
  • Experience with case/document management systems (e.g., BKFS, Tempo, Vendorscape).
  • Ability to delegate, follow up, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
