Very busy Westlake Village personal injury law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $200,000 (dependent on experience and performance bonuses)

Experience required: minimum 3 years as a Litigator. Experience in Personal Injury litigation is a plus, but candidates with litigation experience and an interest in learning Personal Injury law will be considered. The role requires excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills for client interactions and negotiations. Our office is small, friendly, and fast-paced, suited for a candidate who thrives in such environments.

This position offers a salary between $120,000 and $160,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary performance bonuses. Most team members received bonuses exceeding 20% last year. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k) with 3% employer contribution, 17 paid holidays, and 3 weeks of PTO. The position also includes a marketing budget and a bonus structure for a share of generated case fees. For example, a 4th-year associate is tracking over $500k in earnings for 2025.

About Us:

Westlake Injury Law, established in 2009, is a plaintiffs personal injury firm with a dedicated litigation team committed to justice. We are a close-knit office of 11 members, located in Westlake Village, with a friendly culture that includes group lunches and social activities.

Our firm has a pre-litigation and litigation department, with four case managers supporting two attorneys. We are looking to add 2 attorneys and 2 litigation support staff. The Associate Attorney will:

• Generate new cases through targeted marketing
• Develop case strategies for maximum recovery
• Draft demand letters, complaints, discovery, motions, and oppositions
• Evaluate case value, communicate with clients, and negotiate settlements
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trial
• Manage governmental claims and vet expert witnesses
• Handle all aspects of trial preparation and filings
• Use Clio software for case management

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of litigation experience in a law firm required
• Personal injury experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of civil procedure in state and federal courts
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Clio preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Must work on-site in Westlake Village; remote work not available
