Job description

Overview

We’re looking for a California Family Law Attorney who can walk into court prepared, handle difficult personalities, and advocate fiercely for clients while still being someone coworkers want to grab lunch with afterward. Our cases are serious. Our environment is not miserable.

You’ll handle divorces, custody disputes, support issues, domestic violence matters, property division, and the occasional case that turns everyone’s inbox into a war zone by 8:00 a.m. We need someone who can think strategically, communicate clearly, and keep cases moving without constant oversight.

You’ll have autonomy here. You’ll also have support.

Our attorneys work directly with experienced staff, respected litigators, and a team that values collaboration over ego. We believe good attorneys do better work when they have balance, trust, and room to actually practice law instead of drowning in chaos.

What Makes This Different
  • Over 20 years of established presence in Riverside County
  • Professional but laid-back office culture
  • Real work-life balance without the fake corporate buzzwords
  • Support staff who know what they’re doing
  • Partners and managing attorneys who still actively litigate and mentor
  • Autonomy without micromanagement
  • High-level cases without a toxic environment
  • A team that laughs together, helps each other, and genuinely enjoys coming to work
What You’ll Do
  • Manage family law cases from beginning to resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, judgments, and settlement agreements
  • Handle hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
  • Negotiate effectively while preparing every case as if it may be litigated
  • Communicate directly with clients and guide them through difficult situations
  • Work collaboratively with paralegals and staff to keep files moving efficiently
Who Thrives Here
  • Attorneys who can manage their own caseload confidently
  • People who are organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Lawyers who take their work seriously without taking themselves too seriously
  • Professionals who want strong litigation experience without sacrificing their entire personal life
  • Attorneys who value both excellence and office culture
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Bonus opportunities
  • Supportive team environment
  • Long-term growth opportunities
  • Work-life balance that leadership actually respects

Compensation: $125,000 - $165,000 yearly

Responsibilities
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam
  • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
