Job Description

We are a plaintiff-side law firm seeking a passionate, driven, and detail-oriented Attorney with a commitment to excellence and getting results to join our team of advocates. The ideal candidate will have three to seven years of experience, a strong background in California wage and hour laws, and expertise in FEHA claims, wrongful termination, and whistle‑blowing retaliation claims. This position will play a major role in the litigation of employment‑related claims before federal and state courts and arbitrations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Litigate matters regarding FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour law. Take depositions, argue motions, handle arbitrations, and prepare cases for trial.
  • Draft first drafts of litigation documents such as discrimination charges, court filings, and correspondence to present relevant facts in a persuasive manner.
  • Attend depositions and draft meet‑and‑confer letters regarding discovery issues, dispositive motions, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct in‑depth legal research.
  • Communicate with outside parties such as attorneys, employers, law enforcement agents, and administrative agencies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates on case developments.
  • Manage all aspects of cases, ensuring deadlines are met, staying organized, and multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Education and Licensing: JD required; licensed to practice law in California.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, with substantial experience litigating and managing complex cases in wrongful termination and discrimination.
  • Expertise in employment law and all stages of the litigation process from investigation through mediation, trial, and appeals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for representing clients, negotiating settlements, and presenting complex legal arguments.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
