The ideal candidate holds a JD with Tennessee bar admission, strong written and oral advocacy skills, and familiarity with litigation workflows.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and Tennessee bar admission.
• Strong research and writing skills demonstrated in memos, briefs, and contracts.
• Familiarity with litigation processes and administrative procedures is desirable.
• Federal court experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis to support case prep and strategy.
• Draft and review litigation documents.
• Assist in negotiating settlements and contractual agreements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution, coordinating discovery, depositions, and filings.
• Provide counsel on a variety of legal issues.
• Support attorneys in court appearances, hearings, and client meetings with required briefs and docs.
• Maintain organized case files and compliance with legal procedures.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis to support case preparation and strategy development
• Draft and review litigation related documents
• Assist in negotiating settlements and contractual agreements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
• Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution by coordinating discovery, depositions, and court filings
• Provide counsel on various legal issues
• Support attorneys in court appearances, hearings, and client meetings by preparing necessary documentation and briefs
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal administrative procedures

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in Tennessee
• Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and other platforms to gather pertinent legal information efficiently
• Excellent writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting of memos, briefs, and contracts
• Familiarity with litigation processes and legal administrative experience is highly desirable
• Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism and client advocacy skills
• Federal court experience preferred but not a requirement
• Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required
