Job summary

Keystone Law Group seeks an Associate Attorney to strengthen our trust and estate litigation practice. The role focuses on researching complex issues, drafting pleadings, and supporting probate matters from inception to resolution.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of probate litigation experience and be a CA Bar member. The firm offers robust onboarding, training, and a collaborative, technology-driven environment with remote/hybrid options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research for trust and estate litigation matters.

Summary

Keystone Law Group is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to enhance our dynamic and growing trust and estate litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in litigation practice and demonstrate key skills such as strong legal research, persuasive writing, analytical thinking, client service, and teamwork. Associate attorneys will work on an assignment/project basis under the direction of Senior attorneys and Partners, and also may be assigned as a handling attorney on smaller matters. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and adapt well to firm processes and technology, and eager to learn a new practice area. The firm will provide extensive training during the onboarding process.

Location

Position is fully remote or hybrid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Research legal issues for trust and estate litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, discovery, memorandums, motions and other legal documents
• Assist with trust and estate litigation matters from inception through trial
• Make court appearances in the probate courts
• Assist with probate administrations from initiation of proceedings to discharge of personal representative
• Assist with conservatorship or guardianship matters from initiation of proceedings to representation of conservators or guardians for the duration of these matters
• Other projects, as assigned

Education and Experience

• At least 1-3 years of demonstrated litigation experience in probate law
• Strong academic record; law review membership highly preferred
• CA Bar membership required

Salary Range

• Attorneys may elect 1,550 hours or more. Annual base salary is $125,000 to $170,000 based upon an election of 1,750 hours.
