Job summary

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is seeking a California-licensed attorney with 5+ years of Labor and Employment defense experience to join our Los Angeles office.

You will evaluate and manage cases, draft motions and discovery, take and defend depositions, appear in court, and advise clients on regulatory compliance, with substantial opportunities for growth and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in California (CA Bar).
• 5+ years of Labor and Employment defense experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Draft and respond to discovery-related motions.
• Regularly attend court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Draft motions for summary judgments.

Labor and Employment Practice Group

At QPWB, our Labor and Employment Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients, including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, in the defense of labor and employment-related actions. From initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, we provide comprehensive legal representation tailored to the unique needs of each client. As an Attorney specializing in labor and employment, your role will involve:

• Evaluating and managing labor and employment cases, developing effective legal strategies.
• Drafting and reviewing various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• In addition, may draft various agreements pertaining to employee conduct, policies and regulatory compliance, as necessary.
• Advising and representing clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediations.
• Draft various agreements pertaining to employment laws, regulatory compliance, and negotiations.
• Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.

140,000 - 200,000 USD per year (Los Angeles Downtown)
