Scion Staffing is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Encino, California for a fully onsite, direct-hire role. You will own a diverse caseload within a collaborative litigation team, gaining meaningful courtroom experience and client interaction.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active CA State Bar membership, and 3–6 years of civil litigation experience, including depositions, discovery, and trial prep. Growth opportunities and a supportive environment are offered.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and oversee all phases of litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions independently.
• Manage all aspects of written discovery.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, trial, and settlement.
• Appear in state and federal court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Perform legal research and provide strategic recommendations on complex litigation matters.
• Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys on high-value and complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and oversee all phases of litigation.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and case management abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with a legal team.
• Experience in intellectual property, environmental, or ADA litigation is a plus but not required.
• Base salary of $140,000-160,000, depending on experience
