Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of civil litigation experience, are admitted to the Rhode Island Bar, and can manage depositions, discovery, and dispositive motions while providing strategic input to senior attorneys.

We're seeking an associate with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to step into a role with real responsibility, meaningful mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within the firm. You'll work on a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters in practice areas such as professional liability, construction litigation, product liability, drugs and medical devices, life sciences and toxic torts.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $105,000 to $130,000 (commensurate with experience) plus signing bonus in addition to benefits including:

As a litigation associate attorney at Morrison Mahoney LLP, you'll take on a substantive and engaging role that balances autonomy with collaboration. You'll manage a diverse caseload from start to finish - drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, meeting critical deadlines, and driving matters forward.
Your litigation skills will continue to deepen through regular opportunities to prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials. You'll play a key role in developing litigation strategies, working closely with clients, experts, and colleagues across the firm. Maintaining proactive and professional communication with clients - including providing status updates and strategic guidance - will be an essential part of your practice.
You'll also contribute to case strategy through focused legal research and well-crafted memoranda, and you'll work side by side with partners on complex, high-value matters.
