Job summary

Ghidotti Berger, LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney in Las Vegas on a hybrid basis. The candidate should have Nevada foreclosure law experience and familiarity with creditor rights matters.

Qualifications

• JD from an Accredited Law School.
• Admitted to practice law in Nevada; admission in additional states a strong plus.
• 3–7 years of Creditors Rights experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nevada Foreclosure laws.
• Experience with mortgage default/collections and foreclosure litigation.
• Ability to independently manage appearances and all aspects of creditor representation.
• Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in foreclosure-related litigation, replevins, surplus funds, bankruptcy, and title/transactional matters.
• Appear in court and argue motions through routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title disputes, collection, replevin, and bankruptcy matters.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents for active litigation files.
• Maintain proactive, regular communication with clients on case status and strategy.
• Analyze loan files and title reports; research case law; provide sound advice to clients.
• Manage caseload of contested matters for mortgage lenders and other secured creditors.
• Utilize the firm’s case management system and client portals to update and document status.

About The Role
We are seeking an Associate Attorney, on a Hybrid basis, out of our Las Vegas office, who is has experience working with a Creditors Rights Law Firm, and Knowledge of Nevada foreclosure law. The ideal candidate will take on litigated cases, make an impact, and thrive in a collaborative environment where professional development is a priority!

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in assigned matters including foreclosure-related litigation, replevins, surplus funds, bankruptcy, and title/transactional matters.
• Appear in court and argue motions through completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title disputes, collection, replevin, and bankruptcy matters.
• Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, Rule 11/settlement agreements, and other documents in furtherance of active litigation files.
• Maintain proactive, regular communication with clients on case status and strategy.
• Analyze loan files and title reports; research and analyze case law; provide sound advice and recommendations to clients.
• Manage caseload of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and other secured creditors.
• Utilize the firm’s case management system and client portals to accurately update and document account status.

Qualifications

• JD from an Accredited Law School
• Admitted to practice law in the state of Nevada; (Admission in additional states a strong plus)
• 3–7 years of Creditors Rights experience.
• Strong Knowledge of Nevada Foreclosure laws.
• Experience with mortgage default/collections legal work and foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial properties.
• Ability to independently manage appearances and all aspects of creditor representation with minimal supervision.
• Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
