Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is seeking an attorney focused on General Liability in Las Vegas. The role emphasizes thorough legal research, strong client communication, and proactive case preparation within a mentorship-driven firm.

You will handle discovery, court appearances, and risk assessment while collaborating with senior attorneys and paralegals. A Nevada license and JD are required, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 3-10 years of attorney experience, Nevada licensed, General & Premises Liability focus.
• Strong understanding of state and federal laws governing general and premises liability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents under guidance of senior attorneys or partners.
• Assist in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions; ensure documentation and evidence are organized.
• Maintain professional client communications; provide updates and address concerns.
• Handle document reviews, prepare discovery responses, and assist in interrogatories and deposition processes.
• Appear in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials with oversight from senior attorneys.
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to execute strategies.
• Meet billable hour targets through efficient case management.
• Attend CLE programs and stay updated on changes in the law.
• Contribute to firm initiatives and goals through teamwork and dedication.

Your Role

As an Attorney in our General Liability group, you will play an integral role in the success of our cases, clients, and the firm. Your responsibilities include:

• Legal Research and Writing: Conducts thorough legal research and drafts pleadings, motions, and other documents under guidance of senior attorneys or partners.
• Case Preparation: Assists in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring all documentation and evidence are organized and complete.
• Client Communication: Maintains communication with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns, ensuring a professional and responsive relationship.
• Discovery Management: Handles document reviews, prepares discovery responses, and assists in interrogatory and deposition processes.
• Court Representation: Appears in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials to represent clients, often with oversight from more senior attorneys.
• Compliance and Risk Assessment: Advises clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Works closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to execute strategies and meet client objectives.
• Billable Hours and Productivity: Meets assigned billable hour targets through efficient case management and prioritization of tasks.
• Professional Development: Attends continuing legal education (CLE) programs and stays updated on changes in the law and emerging trends in their practice area.
• Commitment to Firm Goals: Demonstrates dedication to the firm's mission, values, and growth by contributing to team projects and firm initiatives.

What You Bring

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3-10 years of experience as an attorney, licensed in Nevada, with a focus on General Liability and Premises Liability cases are preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to general liability and premises liability.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Education: JD from an accredited school
• Admitted to practice in the State of Nevada and located in Las Vegas, NV.
