Job summary

eLegacy Law is transforming estate planning with a virtual, multi-state model that lets attorneys serve clients who are spread across the country. You will lead a team of a paralegal and client relations coordinator, draft comprehensive trust and will-based plans, and meet clients via video conferencing to finalize strategy. We require a J.D.

and active licensing in the relevant state(s). The position offers a competitive base salary between $90,000 and $140,000, plus performance bonuses (DOE),

Qualifications

  • J.D. and licensing in relevant state required.
  • Proficient in WealthDocx drafting software (training available).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with estate planning and trust administration a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft concise, professionally written legal documents and correspondence.
  • Prepare and review estate planning documents using WealthDocx®.
  • Meet with clients, advisors, and other professionals to design, draft and implement estate plans and strategies virtually, on the phone, or in person.
  • Supervise, review and edit files, deeds, assignments and other documents prepared by paralegal.
  • Coordinate funding of trusts and designations under retirement plans and insurance policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We meet with our clients through video conferencing, allowing our attorneys and our clients to meet no matter where they are. We are actively expanding our team and are especially interested in attorneys licensed in California, New York, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Oklahoma, Arkansas, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Mississippi, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. As an attorney at eLegacy Law, you must be able to lead and motivate team members, thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment, and communicate in a professional, client centered manner using video conferencing technology. Although we may not be in the same room, we connect personally and provide an exceptional client experience. Following our 5-Step process, you, and your team, consisting of a dedicated paralegal and client relations coordinator, will provide expert legal advice while creating comprehensive trust and will-based estate plans.

Job Duties

  • Drafting concise, professionally written legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing and reviewing estate planning documents using WealthDocx® software
  • Meeting with clients, advisors, and other professionals to design, draft and implement estate plans and strategies virtually, on the phone, or in person.
  • Supervising, reviewing and editing answer files, deeds, assignments and other documents prepared by paralegal
  • Communicating with clients, financial advisors and other third parties to coordinate funding of trusts and making appropriate designations under retirement plans and insurance policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • $90,000-$140,000 base + performance bonuses (DOE)

Desirable Qualifications

  • J.D. and licensing in relevant state
  • Proficient in WealthDocx® drafting software (training is available)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with estate planning
  • Experience with trust administration and probate law a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Cool under pressure and always helpful with clients – clients come first
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive matters, and exhibit exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment

Office Hours:

  • 8am-5pm PST Monday through Friday (Office closed to clients on Fridays 12pm-5pm PST)
