A well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to handle a dynamic caseload of insurance defense matters throughout South Carolina. This role is ideal for an Associate-level attorney looking to grow their litigation practice while working with an established and collaborative legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters: Handle insurance defense cases from assignment through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Partner with clients and attorneys: Conduct legal research, draft litigation documents, develop case strategy, and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and insurance carriers.
• Keep cases moving: Manage caseloads, deadlines, court appearances, and case-related responsibilities while providing timely updates and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation; Associate-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong litigation knowledge: Experience with discovery, court filings, legal research, motion practice, and case management. Insurance defense experience is a plus but not required.
• Highly organized and proactive: Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and effective communication.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between [$120,000 – $150,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
