Job summary

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active Michigan Bar admission.
  • Experience or strong interest in immigration law, including removal defense and family-based immigration.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Spanish fluency preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Adobe.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in immigration removal proceedings before immigration courts.
  • Prepare and file applications for immigration benefits and supporting documentation.
  • Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research on immigration and related issues.

  • Travel to attend court hearings and other proceedings.
  • Assist with immigration matters arising from criminal defense cases.
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution while maintaining accurate case files.

Duties
  • Represent clients in immigration removal proceedings before immigration courts
  • Prepare and file applications for immigration benefits and supporting documentation
