Job summary

Distinct | North America in Fairfax is seeking an Associate Attorney for our Insurance Defense group. The role offers hybrid work and hands-on experience with depositions, hearings and jury trials.

Work includes general liability, workers’ comp and motor carrier matters, with direct contact to national carriers and opportunities to grow into multiple practice areas.

Requirements: JD, Virginia license, 2–6 years of litigation; base up to $120k plus incentives; 1,800 billable hours minimum.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance defense is a plus.

Associate Attorney | Fairfax, VA (Hybrid considered) | Up to $120,000 base plus incentive pay | Insurance Defense

That’s the plan for the associate joining a mid sized insurance defense firm I’m recruiting for. They have offices based in Virginia, and a new seat in Fairfax.

• Court early and often: depositions, motions, hearings and jury trials.
• Direct contact with national carriers from day one. The relationship is yours to build.
• General liability, workers’ comp and motor carrier work, with room to try more than one practice group before you settle.

What you earn

• Base salary up to $120,000, depending on experience.
• An incentive program on top, tied to the hours you bill and the quality of your work. Strong performers can take their pay well beyond the base.
