Job summary

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in the applicable jurisdiction and in good standing.
  • 1–5 years of experience in personal injury litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement demands, and legal memoranda.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Conduct client consultations and maintain consistent communication throughout the life of each case.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, expert witnesses, investigators, and other professionals.
  • Develop litigation strategies and case evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Attorney to join our growing personal injury practice. The ideal candidate is a skilled advocate with strong litigation abilities, excellent client communication skills, and a commitment to achieving outstanding results for injured clients. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while working collaboratively with experienced attorneys and legal staff.

Associate Attorney
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement demands, and legal memoranda.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Conduct client consultations and maintain consistent communication throughout the life of each case.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
  • Analyze medical records, accident reports, expert opinions, and other evidence.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, expert witnesses, investigators, and other professionals.
  • Develop litigation strategies and case evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation within the firm's case management system.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction and in good standing.
  • 1?5 years of experience in personal injury litigation preferred (newly licensed attorneys with strong litigation experience through clerkships or internships are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury cases.
  • Deposition and trial experience.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims and settlement negotiations.
  • Experience drafting demands and negotiating with insurance adjusters.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
