Job summary

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Michigan in good standing.
  • 0-8 years of experience in personal injury litigation and/or civil litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery-related documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle civil litigation matters, with a focus on personal injury cases (auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, etc.).
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, demand packages, and legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Manage written discovery, document review, and case file development.
  • Take and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and case evaluations.
  • Attend court hearings, status conferences, and motion hearings.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and exhibit management.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case progression and client service.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney interested in personal injury and/or civil litigation to join our growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of cases while continuing to develop litigation and courtroom skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury matters and be comfortable managing cases through various stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and court appearances.

Key Responsibilities
