Job summary
Avanti Staffing seeks a litigation associate to join a thriving law practice. You will be a valued member of the litigation group, handling all aspects of litigation from drafting pleadings to trial preparation.
Ideal candidates will have experience in business/commercial litigation, life/health/disability, ERISA and/or employment litigation, a JD from an accredited law school, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Illinois bar admission on track or preferred.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in litigation or a related area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with legal research and drafting pleadings.

- Preparing and reviewing discovery along with brief writing.

Ideal candidates will have experience/knowledge in business/commercial litigation, life/health/disability, ERISA and or employment litigation all highly desirable but not required.
You will work closely with partners and senior associates and will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
- Drafting pleadings and motions
- Preparing and reviewing discovery along with brief writing
- Conducting legal research
- Managing client commutations
- Prepare for pre-trial activities and assist in trial preparation
- At least 1 year of experience
- Knowledge and passion of litigation
- JD from accredited law school
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with legal research and writing of pleadings
Firm will consider someone who is currently waiting for their admission to the Illinois State Bar.
