The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage client matters with care and precision. In-office role with flexible full-time or part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland; DC/VA license a plus.
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Extensive knowledge of estate planning, business and real estate law.
• Familiarity with legal document systems (Clio) and Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with LexisNexis and Westlaw for research.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated estate planning, oversee trust administration and probate proceedings from filing to distribution.
• Advise clients on estate planning; draft and review wills, trusts, contracts, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw; apply relevant procedural law and clearly communicate findings.

Seeking an Associate or Senior Attorney with 4-5+ years of experience in Trusts & Estates, Probate, and Estate Planning to join a small, collegial law firm in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate should have strong legal drafting skills, excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage client matters with care and precision.

• Level of expertise to handle sophisticated estate planning, oversee administration of trusts, and lead probate proceedings from initial filing to final distribution. Candidates must have empathy and patience as you will be working with people at their most vulnerable.
• Advise clients on estate planning and related legal matters; draft and review wills, trusts, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal and statutory research using LexisNexis and Westlaw; apply procedural law and communicate findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in Maryland. A license in DC or VA is a plus.
• Strong legal writing skills and research skills.
• Extensive knowledge of estate planning, business law, real estate law.
