JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an excellent candidate to join our team as an experienced Associate Attorney. A law school degree and Virginia Bar membership are required; Maryland or D.C. Bar membership is a plus. This position is specifically designed for those who have been practicing personal injury law for more than 3 years in Virginia.

• A reminder: if you do not have a Virginia Bar membership, then you will not be considered for this position!

The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, ability to multi-task and handle deadlines without constant supervision, and be possessed of good interpersonal skills. Job duties will include all aspects of case management, including client intake, case investigation and preparation, case evaluation, drafting pleadings, discovery and deposition work, motions practice, and handling trials. A strong desire to advocate on behalf of our clients is a must. This is a full time position, that could occasionally entail weekend and evening work. Additionally, this position will involve mentoring and guiding less-experienced associates through various aspects of personal injury work, including case evaluation, negotiations, and litigation.

COMPENSATION

Base salary ranges from $85-100,000, plus reachable monthly performance bonuses (for most associates, this ranges from $2,000 to $9,000 per month, depending on fees! / Historically, first-year total compensation has consistently ranged from approximately $135,000 to $180,000.). Participation bonuses for business brought to the firm. Other benefits include: PTO, BCBS health insurance, a retirement plan with employer match, and a professional development budget (including the payment of CLEs, VTLA dues, etc).
