Qualifications

• JD from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar.
• Experience in personal injury (pre-litigation and/or litigation preferred).
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload from intake through settlement or trial.
• Handle pre-litigation activities: client meetings, case evaluation, review of medical records and bills, negotiations with insurers.
• Transition cases into litigation: draft/filing pleadings, motions, and discovery; take/defend depositions; attend hearings and mediations; prep cases for trial.
• Develop case strategies to maximize client recovery.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff; maintain ongoing client communication throughout the process.

This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from intake through resolution, including both pre-litigation and litigation, making it ideal for an attorney who wants hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of a case.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a caseload from intake through settlement or trial
• Handle all aspects of pre-litigation, including:
• • Meeting with clients
  • Client communication and case evaluation
  • Reviewing and understanding medical records and bills
  • Negotiating with insurance adjusters
• Transition and manage cases into litigation, including:
• • Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Attending hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Preparing cases for trial
• Develop case strategies to maximize client recovery
• Work closely with paralegals, and support staff
• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the process

What We’re Looking For

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution
