Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking an entry-level Production Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Missouri. You will perform basic assembly tasks, follow work instructions, and adhere to safety procedures to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.

Ideal candidates will participate in LEAN events and support continuous improvement while maintaining quality workmanship and safe work practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Prior entry-level assembly experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality work to prescribed standards.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Perform basic assembly tasks from models/drawings.
• Assist with harness, cable, PCB sub-assemblies, and testing.
• Maintain safe working environment and clean work area.
• Interpret build documentation and use torque tools as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
• Follow written work instructions must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
• Properly use required PPE
• May participate in LEAN Events, "Six S" activities, action teams etc
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Perform entry-level assembly functions, which may include: prep, mechanical , harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
• Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation screws, washers, nuts and have basic understanding of build documentation
• Perform pull-test and verify tooling, use torque tools and have the ability to interpret & assemble multiple units in dept Basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
• Must be able to access production tools (routers, parts list, work instructions, etc) and be able to wire prep, auto bond, sleeving
