Liquified Agency is seeking an Associate Art Director for an onsite role in Annapolis, MD. This hands-on position blends concept development, visual direction, and active design across branding, digital, and marketing channels.

You will work closely with the Creative Director to guide day-to-day output and support other designers. You will own visual direction, develop brand identities, and craft polished work across multiple media.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional design experience in advertising or branding.
Strong portfolio showing conceptual thinking and execution across channels.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Strong typography, layout and brand systems knowledge.
Experience designing websites and digital interfaces with UX/UI awareness.

Responsibilities

Develop visual concepts and directions from briefs, brand strategy and client needs.
Own the visual direction for projects, shaping typography, color, composition and imagery.
Produce design across branding, campaigns, social, digital, print, web and packaging.
Build and extend brand identity systems across touchpoints.
Create mood boards, sketches, storyboards, and style frames.
Contribute to photography/video art direction and shot lists.
Design websites and digital experiences with UX/UI principles in collaboration with web/design teams.
Coordinate with external production partners to match approved direction.
Mentor designers with feedback and hands-on guidance.
Review work for alignment with briefs and brand standards.
