FRAME in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Art Director to support the Art Director in shaping FRAME's creative vision across campaigns, content, social, retail, and brand marketing. You will move concept to execution, develop mood boards, lead on-set production, and contribute to photography, video, and post-production.

A strong portfolio and 3–6 years in art direction within fashion or lifestyle are preferred, with collaboration across Marketing, Brand, and Design teams to ensure a cohesive

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in art direction, graphic design, or creative production.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating taste, thinking, and execution across campaigns, content, photography, and storytelling.
  • Deep understanding of art direction, photography, lighting, casting, production, content creation, and visual communication.
  • Experience on set for photo and video shoots and working across digital and print.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Keynote.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Art Director to develop and execute creative concepts across campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Create mood boards, storyboards, presentations, and visual references to communicate direction.
  • Develop campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling initiatives.
  • Contribute to social-first concepts and content franchises for engagement.
  • Support photo and video production, including casting, location scouting, lighting, and set design.
  • Assist with post-production retouching and video editing direction.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, Design, Product, Retail, E-commerce, and PR for consistency.

Job description

FRAME is seeking an Assistant Art Director to support the Art Director in shaping and executing the brand's creative vision across all consumer touchpoints. This role requires a highly creative, culturally connected individual with exceptional taste, strong visual instincts, and the ability to move seamlessly from concept to execution.

The ideal candidate understands fashion, photography, design, art, culture, and storytelling, and possesses both strategic creative thinking and hands-on production capabilities. They are equally comfortable developing editorial concepts, creating storyboards and presentations, directing content on set, capturing assets themselves, and bringing ideas to life across digital, social, retail, experiential, and brand marketing channels.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Art Director to develop and execute creative concepts across campaigns, content, social media, retail, e-commerce, events, partnerships, and brand marketing initiatives
  • Create compelling mood boards, storyboards, creative presentations, and visual references that clearly communicate creative direction
  • Assist in the development and execution of seasonal campaigns, product launches, brand storytelling initiatives, and content
  • Develop and contribute to social-first creative concepts, content series, and recurring content franchises that build engagement and strengthen brand relevance
  • Support all aspects of photo and video production, including casting, location scouting, lighting, set design, props, shot lists
  • Support with post production retouching and video editing direction
  • Support on set with creative execution during photo and video shoots
  • Possess a strong understanding of photography, lighting, composition, casting, styling, and visual storytelling
  • Capture and create content independently for social, behind-the-scenes, campaign support, and brand storytelling opportunities
  • Partner with Social and Marketing teams to ensure creative work is optimized for platform behavior, audience engagement, and performance
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Marketing, Brand, Design, Product, Retail, E-commerce, and PR to ensure a consistent and elevated brand experience across all consumer touchpoints
  • Research emerging trends, talent, photographers, creators, artists, cultural moments, and creative opportunities that keep FRAME relevant and culturally connected
  • Maintain a strong pulse on fashion, entertainment, art, music, design, sports, and popular culture to inform creative direction and content development
  • Leverage and experiment with AI-powered creative tools to support creative when / where appropriate
  • develop concepts, mood boards, storyboards, visual references, presentations, and content ideas
  • Explore emerging technologies and new creative workflows that can enhance content creation, production efficiency, and creative innovation
  • Help oversee asset management, post-production, and creative deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of experience in art direction, graphic design, or creative production, preferably within fashion, beauty, or lifestyle.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, creative thinking, and execution across campaigns, content, photography, branding, and storytelling
  • Deep understanding of art direction, photography, lighting, casting, production, content creation, and visual communication
  • Experience being on set for photo and video shoots
  • Experience working across both digital and print
  • Experience creating and shooting content independently, including photography and short-form video
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, audience behavior, and evolving content formats
  • Experience developing content series and social-first storytelling that drives engagement while strengthening brand equity
  • Deep awareness of cultural trends, popular culture, emerging creators, talent, entertainment, art, music, and digital communities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote, and content creation/ editing tools
  • Exceptional visual taste and strong awareness of fashion, culture, design, art, and emerging creative trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Highly organized, collaborative, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
