Job summary

Grain Processing Corporation's Technical Solutions team is seeking an Associate Applications Scientist in Muscatine, Iowa to support ingredient development for food, nutraceutical, personal care products. You will conduct lab experiments, develop formulations, analyze data, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role offers hands-on learning and exposure to product development from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science is required.
0-3 years of relevant lab, research, product development, or application experience.
Experience in a laboratory environment with sample prep, formulation work, data collection, and safe practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory experiments and testing to evaluate ingredient functionality.
Prepare and optimize formulations using GPC ingredients for food, nutraceuticals, and personal care.
Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support technical recommendations and customer projects.
Assist in refining new product concepts and prototypes throughout development.
Maintain lab notebooks and records, ensuring compliance with procedures.
Follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Prepare application guides, technical reports, and customer-facing materials.
