## Associate Application EngineerApplylocations: Atlanta-GA-UStime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R26003212**Preferred Qualification*** Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field.* Experience with project and product delivery methodology.**Job Summary**Designs and develops software applications of limited complexity. Performs coding, configuration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities*** Develops and documents technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.* Builds software enhancements through configuration and/or development to meet desired functionalities.* Performs unit testing on application enhancements prior to moving coding and configuration through the quality assurance process.* Assists in the development and definition of test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.* Supports the continuous improvement road map for information technology applications.* Maintains project files in accordance with policies and procedures.* Researches industry trends through publications, discussions, professional organizations, and by attending instructional presentations and workshops.**Nature and Scope*** Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.* Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.* May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.**Work Environment*** Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.**Education and Experience*** Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas.
