Job summary

Allegion is seeking an Associate Analytics Engineer to join the Global Data & Analytics Team in a hybrid work model. The role is entry-level, supporting how analytics are embedded into business and IT workflows, with guidance from senior team members.

The position emphasizes building analytics-ready data, dashboards, and reports, while collaborating across the analytics organization to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years’ experience in Analytics, BI, Data Analysis, or related roles; internships or coursework count.
  • Basic experience with Power BI, including building simple datasets and reports.
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL and foundational data transformations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent coursework / certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing Lakehouse schemas and semantic dataset layers for core reporting and analytics across Allegion.
  • Build and maintain data transformations in the Data Lakehouse to produce curated, analytics-ready tables.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports for self-service analytics.
  • Create DAX measures and time-intelligence calculations to support KPIs.
  • Support and maintain global data assets and data lineage documentation.
  • Document data models, business rules, data lineage, and report specifications.
  • Ensure upstream data pipelines align with downstream analytics requirements.
  • Apply Analytics Code Repository templates and processes provided by Analytics Operations Team.

Associate Analytics Engineer

This position functions within Allegion’s Global Data & Analytics Team and sits on the Enterprise Data & Analytics Team. This role is an entry‑level or early‑career position to support how the business and other IT teams can embed analytics into their standard‑work streams. This role will work under the guidance of leadership & senior team members in creating the solutions that enable end users to consume and analyze data at scale. This role will collaborate with the entire Global Data & Analytics Team, designing, and rolling out technical solutions in alignment with Analytics Operations Best Practices.

What You Will Do:
  • Assist in implementing Lakehouse schemas and semantic dataset layers that power core reporting and analytics across Allegion—apply dimensional and modern data modeling best practices for consistency and reuse.
  • Build and maintain T‑SQL and Spark/SQL (or equivalent) data transformations in the Data Lakehouse to produce curated, analytics‑ready tables.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI dashboards and reports that enable self‑service analytics and data‑driven decision‑making at scale.
  • Create DAX measures and time‑intelligence calculations to support KPIs and scalable self‑service analytics.
  • Support and maintain global data assets, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Document data models, business rules, data lineage, and report specifications.
  • Ensure upstream data pipelines align with downstream analytics requirements.
  • Apply Analytics Code Repository templates and processes provided by the Analytics Operations Team.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Ability to execute independently and deliver to milestones.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or related roles; internships or coursework in data analytics count.
  • Basic experience with Power BI, including building simple datasets and reports; familiarity with fundamental DAX functions.
  • Working knowledge of T‑SQL and foundational understanding of data transformations.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling concepts such as star schema or dimensional modeling.
  • Willingness to learn and follow established templates, governance practices, and workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and curiosity to learn new tools and best practices.
  • Organized, analytical, with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent coursework / certification.
