We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Analytical Scientist to join our team at the Indianapolis Global Business Center. The Crop Health R&D Screening and Bioprocess group is looking for individuals for our Physiochemical Properties Laboratory who can work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help enable the discovery, development, and launch our crop protection pipeline. As an Associate Analytical Scientist , you will be responsible for running and maintaining liquid handling, LC/MS instrumentation and plate readers. You will also develop, complete and report various physiochemical property determination method results used in crop protection discovery and development projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Check samples in - Maintain sample inventory.
  • Determine physiochemical properties for synthesized chemical samples.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and publish results to data repositories.
  • Responsible for sample preparation and data generation.
  • Responsible for laboratory instrument upkeep, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the execution of new laboratory workflows, assay development, and optimization.

What Skills You Need:

  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in analytical chemistry (3+ years) with chromatography and mass spectrometry.
  • Comfortable working on equipment and running a high volume of experiments each week.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams to solve problems.
  • Strong scientific creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills, and demonstrated customer focus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and prioritization skills; ability to effectively communicate in a team environment.
  • Document experimental results using electronic lab notebooks, report writing, and presentations to stakeholders. ??
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility in all laboratory activities. ?

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Programming skills (C#, C++, SQL, VBA, Python, or R) for laboratory data management and automation are highly desirable. ?
  • Strong expertise in liquid handling systems, plate readers, and data analysis software.
