Associate Analytical Chemist - 2nd Shift

• Full-time

Interested in contributing to improving and saving lives? Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison is growing, and we're looking for amazing team members to join us.

In 2021, we moved into a new ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in Madison, WI, specializing in food chemistry testing for infant formula, nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and botanicals. Our portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides, and shelf-life studies.

We utilize instrumentation such as UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS. We offer an innovative and collaborative environment and opportunities to develop expertise on various analytical instruments. If you're looking for a growth-oriented company, we look forward to talking with you!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Applying GMP/GLP standards in all responsibilities
• Learning to conduct routine analyses independently, following methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines
• Documenting work and maintaining study records
• Using laboratory equipment and software appropriate for tasks
• Participating in project meetings
• Performing peer reviews of data
• Planning daily workload and managing multiple assignments
• Contributing to a positive team environment and coordinating workload
• Performing other related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks, keep accurate records, and follow instructions
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (laboratory experience may substitute for a degree)
• Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials and food allergens
• Overtime and weekend work as required
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods, including working within a laboratory hood and at a bench
• Use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
