T. Rowe Price is offering an Associate Analyst program in Maryland designed to develop future fundamental investment analysts through hands-on equity research support for our Technology analysts.

The program spans three to five years with training, mentoring and exposure to senior professionals. You will build financial models, analyze quarterly results, and engage in industry deep dives, with opportunities to interact with management and potentially advance to an Investment Analyst role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic background.
• 1+ years relevant work experience (equity research or investment banking preferred).
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills including building three-statement models.

This Associate Analyst program provides fundamental equity research support for Technology analysts at T. Rowe Price.

Role Summary

• The role will provide fundamental equity research support for our Technology analyst
• The Associate Analyst program is a three-to-five-year structured program offering ongoing training and mentoring and is designed to develop future fundamental investment analysts
• Diverse responsibilities including collaboration with senior research analyst(s), extensive financial analysis, and company/industry related research projects
• Opportunity to interact with public company C-suite executives, both in our offices and in the field

Responsibilities

• This is a talent development program. Typically, the Associate Analyst is assigned to one or two senior investment professionals to execute a variety of tasks, including those listed below.
• Building/updating financial models
• Assisting in quarterly earnings analysis and writing takeaway summaries
• Attending conferences and meetings with management teams
• Conducting various industry and thematic deep dives
• Preliminary work on new investment ideas
• Accomplished Associate Analysts may also have an opportunity to rate and recommend stocks after several years

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree required with a strong academic background AND
• 1+ years relevant work experience (equity research or investment banking experience preferred)
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills including previous experience building three-statement models

Preferred

• Highly motivated, confident self-starter, with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a performance-driven environment
• A demonstrated interest and passion for equity investing and financial markets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to derive meaningful insights from in-depth research and analysis
• Progress toward the CFA designation; strong preference for candidates that have successfully completed at least Level 1 of the CFA designation
• Familiarity with Python and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex is preferred

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers

$110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.

$110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
