Job Description

Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is seeking an Associate Aircraft Machinist to support the team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts as required using manual and CNC machines.

  • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.

  • Assists other machinists in completing job responsibilities.

  • Follows detailed verbal and/or written instructions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Minimum 1 year experience reading and interpreting machine code data (MCD).

  • Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines.

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

  • 787 Program Experience.

  • Experience in a team environment.

  • Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, electrical schematics, and reading and interpreting blueprints or drawings.

  • Experience using manual mill and lathe machines.

  • Experience setting up and fixtures, operating, and programming CNC machines, i.e. with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.

  • Experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including probing and using dial indicators to establish set points.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
