Job summary

JetBlue Associates Engineer reports to the Manager of Engineering and contributes to developing and implementing in-service modifications, repairs, and solutions that boost aircraft reliability and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and specialists to design, develop, and test new aircraft systems, perform critical analyses, and create clear technical documentation to support safety and efficiency across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or related field by hire date or a Master’s degree in Engineering
• Proven data analysis and technical writing capability
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Project

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement in-service modifications and repairs for aircraft reliability
• Analyze and record component failures to improve airworthiness and reduce costs
• Support predictive digital diagnostics and monitoring strategies to improve operational reliability
• Design, develop and test aircraft systems and related solutions
• Perform engineering calculations to ensure safety and efficiency
• Create and review technical documentation for aircraft systems and structures
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and specialists to optimize aircraft performance
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for aircraft projects
• Monitor aircraft systems to ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for aircraft systems
