Job summary

JetBlue Airways is seeking an Associate Engineer to support in-service modifications, repairs, and new aircraft development, ensuring safety and compliance across operations. You will work with engineers and technicians to improve reliability, design solutions, and document processes.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical/aerospace background, proficiency in data analysis tools, and strong written communication. Travel and shift flexibility are anticipated as part of the job.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field by time of hire.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Python/Excel/SQL).
  • Strong technical writing and ability to generate clear instructions.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel/Word/Access/PowerPoint/Project).
  • Ability to read/interpret OEM and engineering documents.
  • Reliability analysis skills to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear and concise work instructions.
  • Analyze component failures to improve airworthiness and reduce costs.
  • Support predictive diagnostics and monitoring strategies for reliability.
  • Design, develop, and test aircraft system solutions.
  • Perform engineering calculations ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Create and review technical documentation for systems and structures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians and specialists to optimize performance.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for projects.
  • Monitor systems to ensure regulatory compliance and safety.
