Morgan Stanley's Firm Risk Management (FRM) Division seeks an Associate to support AI governance and reporting initiatives across Model Risk Management (MRM). This role blends Scrum Master responsibilities with hands-on coordination to accelerate AI-driven process improvements.

You will work with business stakeholders, technology teams, and AI projects to enhance governance, reporting, and inventory management, driving automation and efficiency across the function.

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience in Agile delivery, project coordination, business analysis, reporting, governance, risk management, or technology.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and deliver AI and automation opportunities across MRM governance, reporting, inventory management, and policy assurance.
  • Support policy assurance activities, including monitoring compliance, findings, remediation actions, exceptions, and governance commitments.
  • Prepare dashboards, metrics, executive summaries, presentations, and other materials for senior management and governance forums.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain backlogs and delivery roadmaps, and track milestones, dependencies, risks, impediments, and delivery metrics.
  • Document requirements and coordinate cross-functional testing, implementation, adoption, and stakeholder communication.

We support Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.Associate - AI Governance & ReportingPosition SummaryThe Associate will support the delivery of AI-enabled solutions across Model Risk Management (MRM) Governance and Reporting. This role combines Scrum Master responsibilities with hands-on support for identifying, coordinating, and implementing AI-driven process improvements. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, reporting teams, and AI initiatives to accelerate automation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities across MRM.This role will play a key part in driving agile delivery practices, managing solution backlogs, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and helping transform governance and reporting processes through innovative AI technologies. The responsibilities closely align with current MRM efforts to expand AI adoption across governance, reporting, inventory management, and workflow automation.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and deliver AI and automation opportunities across MRM governance, reporting, inventory management, and policy assurance.Support policy assurance activities, including monitoring compliance, findings, remediation actions, exceptions, and governance commitments.Support model, Tool, and EUC inventory governance, including attestations, verifications, data-quality reviews, discrepancy resolution, control monitoring, and reporting.Prepare dashboards, metrics, executive summaries, presentations, and other materials for senior management and governance forums.Support MRM training, communications, FAQs, procedures, templates, and stakeholder guidance.Document requirements and coordinate cross-functional testing, implementation, adoption, and stakeholder communication.Facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain backlogs and delivery roadmaps, and track milestones, dependencies, risks, impediments, and delivery metrics.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, technology, data analytics, finance, risk management, or a related field.1-4 years of experience in Agile delivery, project coordination, business analysis, reporting, governance, risk management, or technology.Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AI, GenAI, automation, Power BI, Jira or similar tools.Experience in financial services, governance, risk management, reporting, or inventory oversight.Scrum Master or project-coordination experience.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
