Job summary

Jumpmind is seeking an Associate AI Engineer to work across LLMs, agentic workflows, and advanced AI tooling, building solutions that streamline operations and eliminate repetitive work across the business. You'll scope, build, ship, and maintain real systems, with security and governance built in from the start.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders and receive mentorship from a team already running AI systems in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, IS, AI/ML, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building with LLMs or agentic workflows (capstone, hackathon, internship, or personal project).
• Enthusiasm for AI technologies demonstrated through academic projects or hackathons.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to read and debug code.
• Interest in how LLMs and agentic systems actually work, not just usage.
• Commitment to security and responsible AI practices; anticipate risks.
• Strong written communication; explain reasoning and tradeoffs clearly.
• Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own AI projects end to end: scoping, design, prompt engineering, integration, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Build and deploy agentic workflows and LLM-powered tools solving real operations problems.
• Design multi-step agent workflows with clear handoffs and built-in checks.
• Design multi-agent systems where agents coordinate and hand off work.
• Work with stakeholders to turn vague problems into defined inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
• Run proofs of concept, then productionize successful ideas.
• Monitor, debug, and improve production systems; troubleshoot issues.
• Build evals and metrics to measure business value from AI systems.
• Apply security and governance practices, including guardrails and registry entries.
