Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, Missouri is seeking an Associate Loads and Dynamics Engineer to support loads and dynamics assessments for fixed-wing programs within the Air Dominance division.

As part of the role you will develop air vehicle requirements, build models, and perform loads and dynamics analyses to support design, flight and ground tests. A BS in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience are required; proficiency in Matlab/Python and FEM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors degree or equivalent.
• Course work or experience in Aerodynamics, Stability & Control, Structural Dynamics, Aeroelasticity and FEM.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing air vehicle requirements.
• Create vehicle-level models for loads and dynamics analysis.
• Perform loads and dynamics analysis to support air vehicle design (flight/ground simulations, flutter/divergence, noise/vibration).
• Assist in developing flight and ground test requirements and plans.
• Support ground and flight testing with pre-test analysis, real-time monitoring, post-processing, and documentation.
• Support airworthiness with regulatory agencies and customers via correspondence, presentations and documentation.
• Assist in developing vehicle flight envelope and operational limits.
