American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company is seeking an Associate Actuary for its Actuarial Student Program in Iowa. The role focuses on pricing support, development of pricing models, and analysis for new and existing products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or related field; plus 3 years of actuarial experience.
Experience with MS Excel and MG-ALFA is required.
R or other coding experience is desirable.
ASA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs pricing analysis and feasibility studies for new and existing products.
Build pricing models using MG-ALFA/Integrate with custom coding.
Assess profitability and risk using established frameworks and sensitivity tests.
Create documentation of methodology, results, and potential risks.
Collaborate with Product & Pricing to implement designs in production models.
Support department-wide process improvements and training.
Coordinate with ALM, valuation, finance, tax, hedging, and legal teams.
