Important Note: To be considered for this position, candidates must hold an ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation, a bachelor’s degree, and possess a minimum of two years of actuarial experience.

Position Purpose: As a key member of our actuarial team, you will focus primarily on pricing ACA Marketplace plans. This role involves conducting in-depth actuarial analysis to estimate financial outcomes and assess risks, considering the regulatory landscape of the ACA market.

In this Associate Actuary role, you will:

1. Develop, analyze, and support pricing strategies for ACA Marketplace plans, considering premium adequacy and market competition.
2. Review key pricing inputs and assumptions, including experience, reimbursement, and morbidity analyses.
3. Support rate filing processes in at least one state/market, including preparing filings and communicating with regulators.
4. Serve as the main actuarial contact for an assigned health plan.
5. Research and analyze impacts of legislative and regulatory changes.
6. Analyze data reports, identify trends, and recommend actions.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 2+ years of actuarial experience.

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years of ACA pricing experience, including rate filings
• Strong financial and actuarial knowledge in healthcare

Applicants may work remotely within the Continental US, with a preference for PST hours.

Pay Range: $86,000 - $154,700 per year
