Job Summary

The primary role of the Associate Accountant is providing financial support to our field operations, offering top internal customer service, and escalating issues to Field Accountants. We consider new Accounting or Finance graduates with a solid GPA and prior customer service experience. This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

1. Provide daily support to field operations by training operators on financial information and back-office systems.
2. Assist with ensuring monthly profit and loss statements are accurate.
3. Reconcile and review balance sheet accounts monthly.
4. Ensure accounting complies with Group Policies and maintains internal controls.
5. Act as a liaison between field operations and corporate functions.
6. Assist in meeting contract compliance requirements.
7. Coordinate with the Contract Team on compliance and financial commitments.
8. Maintain accurate contact information for internal customers.
9. Create and manage task lists for operations.
10. Validate requests and prepare journal entries.
11. Assist Staff Accountants and perform other accounting tasks.
12. Identify and implement best practices to improve processes.
13. Contribute to developing new strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Accounting internship and customer service experience.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Proficient in Excel; SAP experience a plus.
5. Ability to work under pressure and be a quick learner.
6. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
