Job summary

Texas Pipe And Supply Company is seeking an Entry level Associate Accountant in Houston, TX. You will support FP&A functions including month-end close, journal entries, and reporting for multiple companies.

Responsibilities include reviewing inventory and journal entries, updating the P&L workbook, and assisting with balance sheets, AP reconciliation, and audits. Strong Excel skills and a detail-oriented, proactive work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required or equivalent.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook experience (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented is a must.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Attendance and punctuality are very important and must be available to work overtime if needed, especially during month-end close.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Associate Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions in the FP&A group, including but not limited to month-end closing, uploading journal entries, assisting the team with entries and reporting, reviewing inventory adjustments and invoice registers.
