POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory. The Associate Account Manager makes outbound calls and receives inbound calls to retain business with Republic Services’ smaller, less complex commercial and industrial customers, and increases penetration in their existing customer base by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Effectively maintains and retains existing customers through proactive outreach.
  2. Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of the company’s services, pricing, and offers additional services as appropriate.
  3. Performs contractual re-signs to extend customer relationships and increase profitability.
  4. Responds to cancellation requests according to escalation policies.
  5. Supports company pricing initiatives through proactive communication.
  6. Utilizes Salesforce daily to schedule and document activities.
  7. Captures customer emails, minimizes rate restrictions and credits.
  8. Increases customer penetration by selling the full suite of products.
  9. Meets regularly with the Sales Manager to review activities, progress, and key relationships.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in waste or transportation industry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Pay Range: $19.36 - $29.04

Bonus Plan: 30% annual sales commission target
