Civil Clothing is looking for a relationship-driven, commercially minded, and highly organized Associate Account Manager to join our Darc Sport team in Torrance, CA. The Associate Account Manager owns and strengthens relationships with our wholesale partners, bringing a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to managing each account while ensuring responsive service, strong execution, and a consistently positive customer experience.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, customer experience, and wholesale operations. You will serve as a trusted partner to our accounts, developing a deep understanding of their business, anticipating their needs, and ensuring orders move successfully from entry through allocation, routing, and delivery. Just as importantly, you will look beyond the transaction, identifying opportunities to strengthen account performance, protect revenue, and build lasting partnerships.
Success in this role requires someone who is highly organized, commercially minded, relationship-driven, and comfortable owning the details. You should be able to move easily between a conversation with a key retail partner, reviewing an at‑risk order, coordinating with internal teams, and identifying what needs to happen next to keep the business moving.
What You’ll Do
Account Management & Customer Experience
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with wholesale accounts, providing a consistently high level of service and responsiveness.
- Develop a deep understanding of each account’s business, requirements, priorities, and opportunities to strengthen the partnership.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring clear communication and reliable follow‑through throughout the order lifecycle.
- Anticipate customer needs, respond quickly to concerns, and take ownership of resolving issues in a way that protects both the customer relationship and the business.
- Lead the onboarding of new accounts, coordinating operational setup and requirements to create a seamless experience from the start.
- Maintain close visibility into account performance, open orders, inventory, and opportunities to protect and grow revenue.
- Proactively identify at‑risk sales orders and drive cross‑functional resolution before they result in missed ship windows, extensions, cancellations, or lost revenue.
- Review account activity and business needs to identify opportunities, risks, and actions that can improve account performance.
- Participate in weekly business reviews with clear account updates, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate line lists, inventory reports, and other account reporting necessary to support sales and business decisions.
Order & Wholesale Operations
- Own assigned wholesale orders from order entry through shipment, maintaining accuracy, visibility, and accountability throughout the process.
- Ensure orders are entered accurately and within established timelines and carefully review sales orders for pricing, quantities, dates, terms, and other customer requirements.
- Monitor open orders against required ship windows and proactively coordinate with internal teams when timing, inventory, production, or logistics could affect delivery.
- Manage product allocation and take ownership of order execution once inventory is available to ship.
- Maintain accurate account, order, and sales data and ensure discrepancies are identified and addressed promptly.
Retailer Compliance & Logistics
- Develop a strong understanding of retailer‑specific routing, shipping, packaging, labeling, EDI, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain visibility into shipment status and follow through until orders have been successfully executed.
