Associate Account Executive, Screening - Winchester, VA

This is an opportunity to join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Associate Account Executive and work closely with sales leadership to support go-to-market sales strategies and launch innovative new technologies for cancer screening. The role involves promoting cancer screening, specifically colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy, to healthcare providers in primary care settings. The position requires a proactive approach and passion for delivering cutting-edge products for early cancer detection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect and target healthcare providers to promote high utilization of SHIELD for CRC and other cancer screenings.
  • Achieve or surpass sales goals and optimize promotional budgets in alignment with Guardant Health's sales strategy.
  • Identify and develop strategic business opportunities with primary care providers and practices.
  • Create and execute a business plan supporting product launch and brand strategy.
  • Partner with laboratories offering phlebotomy services and draw agreements.
  • Analyze market trends, share best practices, and communicate strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and provide feedback to leadership.
  • Develop strategies to acquire and retain clients.
  • Implement promotional activities within the assigned territory to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
  • Represent Guardant Health values consistently and professionally.
  • This is a field-based role requiring daily travel within the territory and occasional regional or national travel.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Support and adhere to Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing, field-based sales role, preferably in healthcare (diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Proven ability to close sales and meet/exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of market, customer, and product landscape.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in developing cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent administrative skills and experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems like Salesforce or Veeva.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling diagnostic blood tests or related products to primary care providers.
  • Experience with product launches and understanding of primary care practice landscape.

Personal Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet access requirements for healthcare facilities.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the territory and regionally as needed.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000 to $105,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, commissions, or equity. Salary depends on location, experience, skills, and education.
