Associate Account Executive, Screening - Lima, OH

This is an opportunity to join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Associate Account Executive and work closely with sales leadership to support go-to-market sales strategy and launch a revolutionary new technology for cancer screening. The field-based Associate Account Executive is responsible for effectively promoting colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy screening to healthcare providers in the primary care practice setting. This role requires urgency and passion to deliver best-in-class new products for early cancer detection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD to screen patients for CRC and other cancers.
  2. Meet or exceed sales goals and maximize promotional budgets in support of the national sales strategy in accordance with Guardant Health standards.
  3. Seek out strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with primary care providers and their practices.
  4. Develop and implement a business plan aligned with brand strategy to support launch.
  5. Identify and partner with laboratories offering phlebotomy draw agreements.
  6. Identify marketplace opportunities, share best practices, and communicate strategies to cross-functional partners and the Commercial Team.
  7. Analyze the competitive landscape within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to leadership.
  8. Recommend strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
  9. Manage promotional activities in the territory to support sales and marketing strategies, in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
  10. Collaborate with individuals across multiple departments to ensure success.
  11. Coordinate with the sales team to meet company goals and objectives.
  12. Represent Guardant Health values externally and internally.
  13. This is a field-based role – must be able to travel daily within the territory and occasionally outside for regional or national meetings.
  14. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  15. Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing field sales role, preferably in healthcare (diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Proven ability to close sales and meet or exceed expectations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across functions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva).
  • Demonstrate integrity, respect, and a positive attitude aligned with company values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling diagnostic products directly to primary care providers.
  • Experience with product launch planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of primary care practice landscape in the territory.

Personal Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet access requirements for healthcare facilities.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the territory and occasionally outside it.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000 to $105,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, commissions, or equity. Salary depends on location, skills, experience, and education. Additional details will be provided if selected to proceed.

Work environment may include office and laboratory settings, with exposure to noise, fumes, and biohazards. The role requires sitting for extended periods.
