Job summary

Publicis Groupe in New York is seeking an Assistant Account Executive for MSL’s Consumer practice. You will support one of the agency’s largest CPG accounts, helping to develop and execute PR plans, manage timelines, and assist with media coverage, monitoring, and influencer campaigns.

The role requires a BA/BS, 0-1 years in PR, strong writing, and a passion for consumer Brand PR. You’ll collaborate across agency partners and grow through hands-on campaign work and client service.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in a related field.
• 0-1 years in experience in PR (consumer experience preferred).
• Flexibility/versatility to tackle different tasks throughout the day and pivot with little or no warning based on client needs.
• A strong interest in and understanding of consumer, influencer and media trends.
• Excellent writing skills are essential to this position, as well as great attention to detail, organization, multi- tasking and proactivity.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Excel and PowerPoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client calls, developing call agendas and reports, and project timelines.
• Stay on top of what is happening in culture and in the media, as well as contribute to creative ideation and program development.
• Assist in the creation of strong media and consumer materials including persuasive pitches, press releases, fact sheets, spokesperson bios, and media lists.
• Support financial process for client programs including supporting management of budget trackers.
• Conduct research for plan creation, including independent research as well as collaboration with in-house research/culture team on larger research initiatives.
• Compile program earned media recaps, monthly and quarterly client reports, and support other administrative items as needed.
