Baker & McKenzie LLP in New York, NY seeks an Associate with a JD/LLM and at least 1 year of international law firm or judicial clerkship experience to work on international tax matters. You will draft memoranda, opinions, conduct research and support client-related documents in complex cross-border matters.
The role is hybrid, requires NY licensure, and the salary range is $310,000–$390,000 with potential bonus eligibility.
Associate – Baker & McKenzie LLP – New York, NY: Remain current on issues of international tax law. Draft memoranda, legal opinions, & other client-related documents. Conduct research on specific legal issues, especially those which apply to our international clients in the area of tax. Must have a JD, LLM, or foreign equivalent & 1 year of exp. with an international law firm or as a judicial law clerk. Of exp. required, must have 1 year of exp. with each of the following: (i) Preparing or reviewing summary judgment briefs & other written work product & court filings; (ii) Preparing or analyzing witness depositions; & (iii) Researching technical areas of law for application in contested court hearings or trials. Must also be licensed to practice law in New York. Exp. may be gained concurrently. Hybrid role. Pay Range: $310,000 to $390,000.
