Job Description

Working Location: Based remotely in Arizona

The Microscopy Rep functions as a resource for the customer and identifies customer needs based upon detailed discussions. Using product and application knowledge provides solutions to meet their needs. Install and train customer using equipment purchased.

Job Duties

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide the customer with demonstration and application notes to address all needs and promote a complete solution.
2. Develop proficiency with Salesforce to generate Opportunities Quotes and search for various data.
3. Develop proficiency with administrative tools to include Outlook, Concur, LMS365 etc. Develop proficiency with Salesforce.com Calendar and time management skills.
4. Develop proficiency with Elton inventory control software.
5. Meet sales targets in the growing research microscopy and digital imaging marketplace.
6. Work with the following as appropriate: Evident Scientific sales representatives and marketing personnel dealers and independent customers to meet sales targets.
7. Prepare quotations for customers to include detailed software and digital imaging specifications.
8. Attend trade and local shows as assigned.
9. Work with Specialists to plan and conduct major presentations to explain theory and use of software and imaging products for high-end researchers.
10. Develop an understanding of the key accounts in the territory.
11. Develop relationships with leading researchers in the territory to enhance the reputation of Evident in this market.
12. Attend advanced technical and sales training sessions.
13. Maintain, manage and be accountable for sample account.
14. Provide Sales Manager with weekly call reports via entries into CRM Calendar and weekly update of CRM open opportunities.
15. Work to develop Evident specifications for bids.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree (Biomedical / Life Sciences or Technical Science) required.
2. Master’s Degree / Ph.D. preferred.

Experience:

1. Number of years sales experience preferred: 1+
2. Sales Experience should be in Life Science or related technical industry.
3. Capital Equipment Sales preferred.

Skills:

1. Strong interpersonal communications and computer skills are necessary. Operate within the Evident Code of Ethics policy.
2. Must be willing to travel. Limited overnight travel except for corporate events and academic conferences.
