  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product development from ideation to commercialization through entire product life cycle with guidance from senior engineering staff.
  • Research and evaluate competitive product for performance characteristics.
  • Assist with conceiving new design ideas and drafting concepts.
  • Assist in creating design control documentation for P28 design history files & technical files.
  • Develop testing protocols and assist in testing processes for new and existing products.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party suppliers, contractors, testing houses, etc.

In this entry-level role, you’ll work closely with senior engineering mentors to design, build, and refine next-generation foot and ankle medical devices. Step into a role where your work actively improves lives while you sharpen your technical skills.

This position required onsite presence at our Englewood, Colorado location.

How You'll Create Impact
  • Participate in product development from ideation to commercialization through entire product life cycle with guidance from senior engineering staff including:
    • Research and evaluate competitive product for performance characteristics
    • Participate in conceptualizing new design ideas
    • Assist with creating design control documentation for P28 design history files & technical files
    • Assist in development of testing protocols and assist in the testing process for new and existing products
    • Participate in activities related to project phase gate design reviews
    • Assist with 3rd party suppliers, contractors, testing houses, etc.
    • Develop SolidWorks skillset for parametric modeling and detailing designs of P28 implants and instruments
  • Assist in inspection of current and newly developed medical devices
  • Observe surgery (live, cadaver, or video) on lower extremity pathology. Document all notes.
  • Other duties as directed by manager
Your Background
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Prior experience in medical device development helpful.
  • Familiarity with CAD. SolidWorks preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with ability to convey information and respond to questions from groups of peers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Travel Expectations

10% of overnight travel

Compensation Data

Base Salary: $47,000-$75,000 USD Annually, depending on skills and experience
