Position: Patient Service Representative – Float Pool
Full-time day shift position
Indianapolis, Indiana

This Patient Service Representative position is for Anderson/North Float Pool. Employees will have one primary region, including one of the following: North, East, West, South, Anderson, or Kokomo.

Make a Difference

  • The Patient Service Representative works with providers and clinical staff to address patients' administrative needs.
  • This role is essential in providing the 'Patient’s First' service and treatment as soon as they arrive.
  • Main responsibilities include checking in patients, collecting payments, answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance eligibility.
  • This position uses our electronic medical record system to verify/update patient information, post and balance payments.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-tasking, attention to detail, organization skills, and teamwork.
  • Good written communication for accurate documentation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with good judgment.
  • Proficient with computers, including Intranet, Internet, Excel, Word, email, and web-based applications.
  • Minimum one year healthcare experience or two years in a customer service role.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional Information

Must be willing to work at least three days per week, Monday to Friday. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required. Flexibility with start and stop times based on office schedule.
